Fox Group Donate to Local Foodbanks

Fox Group have donated much-needed funds to Warrington Foodbank and Birchwood Community Church to support vulnerable communities in the local area who are in need of food parcels.

Warrington Food Bank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Warrington Foodbank is a project funded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area.

Birchwood Community Church is a community-focused church based in Birchwood, near Warrington. Over recent years, Birchwood Community Church has operated a surplus pick up scheme from their premise however, have recently turned to dropping food off in addition to normal collection due to the rise in demand at this difficult time.  

Wendy Gaffney, member of Birchwood Community Church and Accountant at Fox Group commented, “The money that Fox Group has given will help us to continue the work as many people in the local area of struggling due to the current Coronavirus pandemic.”

She added, “We recently delivered a food parcel to a member of the community who had not eaten in three days and the much-needed funds from Fox Group will help us to continue making a positive difference to the community.”
